Now that he was here, he was far more nervous than he should be. After all, they were going to be doing the same thing they always did. The only difference was the location.
Caelen opened his front door and smiled as he leaned against the frame. “I was beginning to wonder if you were going to show up after all.”
Vin checked the time on his phone. “It’s only coming up on ten, and I said I’d try to be here by nine, so I’m not THAT late.”
“My brother has been staying with his girlfriend so much lately that he might as well have moved in with her,” Caelen said. “Thus, we probably don’t have to worry about him coming home when we’re in the middle of squealing out our orgasms.”
Vin laughed, finally taking a step toward the door. “I’m not the squealer!”
Caelen reached out and took his hand when he was still a couple of steps away. Then he used it to pull him close and steal a deep kiss. When they parted, both smirked at each other knowingly.
“So, you don’t care if your neighbors see you kissing a guy?” Vin asked as they entered the house.
“Not really,” Caelen answered with a shrug. “Besides, they’re hopefully going to see you coming over here a lot, so they’re probably going to figure it out.”
Vin bit his lip and suppressed the urge to run away. If even ONE of the neighbors was connected to his world, no matter how low down in the ranks, Caelen could easily find himself in the same situation Vin was in when he was 10. If that ever happened, he’d probably murder everyone in his path until he rescued him, but then he’d feel so guilty about it that he’d probably murder himself to ensure that it never happened again.
Instead, he forced his attention onto his curiosity. “Is this the house you grew up in?”
Caelen shook his head. “Nope. It actually belonged to my grandparents, but Grandpa died of cancer when I was a teen, so when Grandma died a couple of years ago, I inherited the house. She balanced it out by giving her car and most of her money to my brother and cousins, so when I decided to keep the house and live in it, I didn’t have to fight for it.”
“It’s a nice neighborhood. Quiet,” Vin murmured. “When you sent me your address, I’d never even heard of Ham Lake before, so I was surprised to find that it’s only about a 30 minute drive from my place.”
“And it’s a small enough town that I don’t have to work crazy hours or overtime. I get to work regular hours and the vast majority of my job is monitoring traffic and responding to petty theft reports.”
“Didn’t you ever want the excitement of working in a big city?” Vin wondered.
“And have to worry about solving murder cases on a regular basis? No thank you!” Caelen cried out in mild horror. “I like being a police officer and it’s the only thing I ever wanted to do in life, but I don’t want to be like one of those overworked detectives you see on TV. I just want to protect and serve and be on friendly terms with the citizens of my little town.”
Vin smiled at him and gave him a soft smooch. “That might just be what’ll make our relationship work. So long as you stay in this town, I don’t have to worry about your work and my work getting tangled up.”
Caelen laced their fingers together. “That’s enough talk for now. Come on; let me show you to my room.”
As they walked, Vin noticed that the entire house was sparse with minimal furniture and nothing but a couple of family pictures on the walls. He would have expected an inherited house to have YEARS worth of junk and clutter just laying around. That said, there was one picture he was pretty sure was Caelen as a kid, and he was so adorable that Vin couldn’t help but tug him to a stop for a moment so that he could kiss him.
Once in Caelen’s room with the door shut, they helped each other undress and lay on the bed to kiss for a long time. Soft and gentle kisses that slowly heated up to possessive and demanding kisses. After a while, their mouths wandered to explore each other’s bodies. Both of them left lots of love bites, as if they wanted to make a claim for the world to see.
This foreplay lasted for hours, but eventually, they were ready to move on to the main event. Caelen volunteered to bottom first, but they had enough stamina to switch back and forth several times. Their third orgasm arrived at nearly the same time, wiping them both out and making them pass out.
In the morning, there was a light knock on the door, which promptly opened. “You awake yet, Caelen? I made breakfast – oh! Sorry, didn’t realize you had a guest!”
Caelen chuckled and lifted his head off Vin’s shoulder so that he could look at his younger brother, who was now staring intently out the window and rubbing the back of his neck. “Breakfast sounds really good right now, Aidan. What did you make?”
“Just bacon, eggs, and toast,” Aidan answered, still doing his best not to look at the naked bodies tangled up on the bed.
“That does sound good,” Vin murmured, still half asleep.
“Thanks A! We’ll be down in a minute,” Caelen informed him.
“No problem K!” Aidan exclaimed as he left the room and shut the door.
Vin pulled his arm free from Caelen’s side and stroked his chin in thought. “Aidan and Caelen, hmm? A and K. Oh, I get it, that’s kinda cute.”
Caelen chuckled. “Yeah, but I’m older, so it’s actually K and A.”
“You’re adorable,” Vin said before giving him a kiss.
They were tempted to get sidetracked by playing a bit more, but their stomachs growled to let them know they were starving. Vin sat up and looked around. “Why do we always seem to kick the blanket to the floor?”
Caelen laughed. “It’s because you are way too hot to cover up!”
With a grin, Vin harrumphed in amusement. “Hm! Is that so? You’re also too hot to cover up.”
Caelen crawled over so that he could nibble on Vin’s earrings. “Mmm… You’re roots have grown out kind of a lot. So you have dark brown hair, huh?”
“Ugh! I haven’t felt like going to a salon lately, but I really should,” Vin murmured, covering his stomach as it growled again.
“Later! Right now, we should really eat something before we starve!”
Luckily, Caelen’s clothes were only a little snug on Vin, so they were both able to pull on boxers and a tee shirt and go eat breakfast. In the kitchen, Aidan was sitting at the table, ravenously digging into his plate of food. Caelen laughed softly and ruffled his hair.
“You sure made a lot!”
“Hey! I felt like I could eat a horse!” Aidan exclaimed defensively.
“What, your girlfriend didn’t feed you?”
“Nope, her part time job is the opening shift for McDonald’s, so she left while I was still asleep. So, I came home to cook because she has literally nothing in her kitchen! … Uh… Who’s this?”
Caelen grinned so brightly that it was almost blinding. “This is the guy I spent the last year or so trying to talk into being my boyfriend, and it finally happened!”
“Boyfriend, huh?” Aidan murmured as he thought this over.
Vin held out his hand for Aidan to shake. “Hi, I’m Vincenzo, but you can call me Vincent, Vince, or Vin.”
“But not Chenzo?” Aidan asked, tilting his head curiously.
Caelen roared with laughter. “That’s what I asked!” He finished dishing them up just then and handed a plate to Vin. Then – before he sat down – he wandered over to one of the drawers in the counter; the one that was filled with old pens and other random junk that had accumulated over the years. After rummaging for a solid minute or two, he finally found what he was looking for, pulling it out with a softly triumphant: “Aha!”
